On Sunday, Chinese construction company Longjian Road and Bridge (LRBC) Co Ltd. signed a corporate agreement in this regard with the Bashundhara Cement.
Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan Anvir and Project Manager of LRBC Chen Wi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
In the signing ceremony at Mr. Sayem’s residence in Bashundhara Residential Area, LRBC’s Project Manager Mr. Chen said, ‘Bashundhara’s cement is Bangladesh’s best. We’ve reached this decision after extensive market survey.’
Deputy Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, AKM Mahbub Uz Zaman said, ”high-quality raw materials and modern V.R.M technology are the main strengths of Basuhdhara cement, this is why LRBC has chosen Bashundhara for this 1.47 kilometers long bridge.”
Basundhara Group’s Senior Deputy Managing Director Belayet Hossain, Chief Financial and Development Officer Tofael Hossain, Head of sales Kingshuk Hossain, Secretary to Bashundhara Group Managing Director Maksudur Rahman, Deputy General Manager (technical support) of Engineer Soroj Kumar Barua, DGM (Head of Corporate Sales) Mahmud Hasan were present at the ceremony among others.
The construction work of 1.47km long bridge will be completed by December 2018 with a cost of Tk10,222 million. The bridge will connect Patuakhali with Barisal.
